Tatler’s Best of British

First published in 1709, Tatler magazine is as relevant and influential today as it’s always been, so when it publishes a ‘definitive guide’, you know it’s one to take note of…
That’s why when an email arrived from Tatler stating Rosamund Muir had been “editorially selected in the City Slick Category in the 2021 Best of British Awards” – well, we were more than a little chuffed. Then when we found we were the category winners? Let’s just say the champagne was flowing at Rosamund Muir HQ!

The Best of British list reads like a who’s who of influential UK brands and we are genuinely honoured to be named amongst them. There are plenty of names you would expect to feature – Pringle of Scotland, Fortnum & Mason, Smythson – brands we all know and love, but we were also excited to see what brands featured from industries outside of fashion and accessories.

Take Hedonism Wines for instance, located in Mayfair, London, it is a multi award-winning emporium of quite literally the best wines and spirits, with the simple aim to be the leading wine shop in the world. And talking of wine it’s no surprise Paxton & Whitfield caught our eye, a cheesemonger that’s been plying the capital with the finest fromage since 1797.
Right from the very first days of Rosamund Muir, we’ve been passionate about sustainability and slow fashion, so we were delighted to spot Medeau Fragrances in the line-up. Offering a luxury fragrance containing only sustainable, clean, non-toxic ingredients, Medeau is a breath of beautifully fragranced fresh air in luxury perfumery.
One final mention must go to House of Hackney, an interiors and décor company that shares our love of colour (and dare we say flamboyance?), but with an unashamedly classic retro twist.

Since launching Rosamund Muir in 2020, we’ve witnessed so many changes in the fashion and retail sectors – indeed, the whole world has changed – and we are so proud to have achieved so much in such a short space of time. Accolades such as the Tatler award are fabulous accessories to what has been a fantastic couple of years. Here’s to many more!
